I attended a JTM conference in Seattle several years ago and
found it informative and inspirational. Numerous start-ups, non-profits and news outlets from across
media were represented. The communities they served ranged from hyper-local to those
formed around interests and issues, especially environmental concerns.
JTM just hired a new editor-at-large. Josh Wolf, a freelance
journalist and documentary filmmaker, who will lead the Illuminations Project, which focuses on today’s journalism practices
that work. Check it out.
